Standard Students understand effective marketing of small business.
Objective SW differentiate between the meaning of market and marketing in the business world. SW write a one-page paper describing a web site of the students choosing identifying specifically what they liked and why. SW research for answers on the Internet regarding marketing and consumerism. SW research the Internet for information regarding marketing and consumerism. SW identify the features and benefits of a product through examining and creation of ads.
Opener In your own words, define the following key terms: Market & Marketing Why do you think companies try to design easily recognizable logos? Describe the demographics for the following magazines: 1) Sports Illustrated 2) Family Circle 3) People 4) Rolling Stone Tell me what type of print ads you would expect to see in Sports Illustrated and People magazines. Describe a situation where low pricing does not mean low quality. Give an example that you have personally experienced. How much money do you earn each week? Where do you get most of your money? List the items you purchased in the last week, including snacks, by brand name if possible.
